I want to talk about several things on this blog:
* Retirement.
* Ongoing struggle with my weight.
* Books I've read
* Quilting and Sewing and Crafts

Steps to Retirement
First of all, I can't believe that this is my last year of teaching. Seems like yesterday that I did my student teaching with Celine Robertson and Joan Carlson. And now 27 years have passed and I'm turning 62 and saying goodbye.
The first step was a couple years ago when I attended the workshop by PSER. I didn't quite understand what it was all about at that point.
Two years ago, Kades Margolis presented about establishing a 403b account and I listened and got that done.
Then I was invited to a dinner by Kades Margolis and the presenter said - think about he longetivity of your family and if they don't live long then it's time to go. I realized that I would be 62 in June 2012 and said it's time to go.
They also said to send a request for an estimate to PSERS which I did.
